Traditional Thanksgiving doesn't just bring Turkey and house dinner, it brings with it the warm, rustic and earthy tones of Autumn, reds, oranges and soft browns. But your Thanksgiving centerpiece doesn't have to supervene the traditional themes of Autumn, you can be different, adding bold splashes of color to any of your floral decorations.
Below are some unique and easy Thanksgiving centerpiece designs for this year's celebration.
Snow Flower
Candles and Mums
Supplies Needed:
*short candlesticks and candles
*vase w/ water
*freshly cut mums
Place your freshly cut mums in the vase at the town of the table. Then surround the vase with your candlesticks or candles. Light your candles and Watch your floral centerpiece sparkle.
Potted Pansies & Pumpkins
Supplies Needed:
*basket, cache pot or hollowed out pumpkin
*potted pansies
*colorful fall leaves
*mini pumpkins
Place you pansies in a basket, cache pot or hollowed out pumpkin and place in the town of your table. Insert a few fall leaves into the pot and add a few more nearby the table. Nestle some mini pumpkins either into the potted pansies or surrounding the pot.
- Tip: Use a leftover pumpkin from Halloween, hollow it out and place you potted pansies inside. Don't forget to place a plastic water tray under the pot.
Sunflowers In Pumpkin Patch
*1 large pumpkin
*2 medium pumpkins
*2-4 small sugar pumpkins
*6-10 mini pumpkins
*1 bunch of sunflowers
*Fresh, silk, or preserved fall leaves
Hollow out your large pumpkin and place in the town of the table with the medium pumpkins on either side, spaced 8 inches from the large pumpkin. Cut your sunflowers at discrete lengths and place them inside the hollowed pumpkin. Now add the smaller sugar pumpkins, filling in the spaces with mini pumpkins and fall leaves.
- Tip: Place plastic circles or glass plates underneath your pumpkins.
